Children have very powerful voices; they can exceed 90 dB, the sonic level of a buzz saw or a pneumatic hammer. This is a worrying: we urgently need to reduce noise in our creches and other school establishments (school canteens, classrooms, common rooms etc).
False ceiling slabs are very often used in company premises to rehabilitate worn surfaces and to hide technical equipment (tables, air conditioning, heating etc). False ceiling slabs also make it possible to reduce the ceiling height of a room.
However it generates unwanted noise such as telephone conversations, discussions between colleagues, machines, echoing sound etc. Unwanted noise spoils concentration and makes all your co-workers, clients and visitors nervous.
According to a survey* carried out for the Plantronics Corporation, 93.5% of co-workers complain of noise in the workplace. This source of discontent has a negative impact on co-workers and on their ability to do their job.
